Stating that she did not maintain a log book to keep track of the number of movies that she did in each language, actress Shruti Haasan on Sunday made it amply clear that she attached equal importance to all the film industries that she is a part of. Participating in the press conference called by the unit of the Tamil film
Poojai, starring Vishal in the lead, Shruti said, I have been getting opportunities to act in the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries.
My family is a multicultural home. Ive never looked at this issue as being Tamil cinema versus Hindi cinema versus Telugu cinema as I consider myself to be a part of Indian cinema. Having said that, I am happy that I have done a Tamil film after a long time.
To a question on her decision to accept roles in Telugu that were high on the glamour quotient, she replied, Till this day, I havent understood what people mean by glamour. When pointed out that there had been reports in a section of the press that had suggested that she had turned down some Tamil film offers prior to this film, Shruti clarified saying, I had prior commitments and therefore could not take them up. Luckily, when this offer came up, I was free and hence took it up.
